A Trip Down Memory Lane

Check out the latest instalment of my Nostalgia series in the Sessions page.

The dawn of the Pioneer CDJ’s had arrived, and April 2009 was a good time for progressive house and trance.

Marcus Schossow was the producer everyone was talking about, Gabriel and Dresden had gone their separate ways, and Sultan and Ned Shepard were churning them out like nobodies business…happy days!

Hope you enjoy and answers on a post cards for the ‘Unknown’ titles ; )

Tvardovsky – From Ukraine with Prog…..

If you haven’t heard any of this guys stuff, then definitely have a listen to Tvardovsky’s latest mix on 99 percent recordings radio.

Currently based in Kiev, his diverse sound touches on a range of styles including techno, house, and progressive but always remains one that is very distinctive.

More of this please….

Born Electric – James Zabiela’s label arrives with a bang…..

Wow!!!

James Zabiela has recently launched his own label, Born Electric, and with its first release it has arrived in some style.

With a slew of remixes already, and probably a shed load more on the horizon, the original remix of the ‘The Healing’ is, what can only de described as, a lovely slice of electronica.

With a few additional remixes,  I’m sure it won’t be long before this is doing some serious damage in the clubs. I’d certainly like to see Andrew Bayer or Matt Lange get their mits on it at some stage….
